The morning after a weeding is a sacred time - a time for piecing together the evening, comparing dance floor injuries and desperately seeking caffeine. Luckily, the West End has you covered with some brilliant coffee shops to nurse you back to life.

476 Dumbarton Rd
The one that even fussy Australians approve of. Knowledgeable staff, great flat whites, and they actually remember their regulars. High praise.

357 Dumbarton Rd
Ethiopian-inspired, community-feel café. The chai gets rave reviews (yes, in a coffee shop 😄). Vegan cakes, late opening some days, and a very welcoming vibe.

86 Dumbarton Rd
You pick your own beans — Guatemala, Brazil, or more. Retro green door, lovely latte art, and a great focaccia sandwich if you’re hungry.

14 Vinicombe St — closest to Devonshire Gardens!
Dog-friendly, vegan cake heaven, and they roast their own beans. Literally a short walk from your reference point. House blend or rotating single origin. No extra charge for non-dairy milk either, which is very civilised.

603 Great Western Rd
Solid brunch spot with rotating single-origin beans. Popular on weekends — get there early or prepare to share a table with strangers (Glasgow strangers are friendly, so swings and roundabouts).
